Weekend Recap

Last weekend (this one just past) was not all that busy really. There was stuff to do,  but Doug has returned to work so getting back into that routine has been rather difficult for us both it seems. When he took time off to move, it was fine because we were on a ‘normal’ schedule. Meaning we were up during the day and sleeping at night. He works nights, so now we are moving back to being up nights and sleeping during the day.

Although I will admit it is nice and quiet when we are sleeping during the day now though. The cat sitting went well. Chloe was happy to go home after though. We were glad that we could help the cousin out with that particular issue this weekend ( over the Jewish New Year).

We went to a place called The Redcoat Tavern on Saturday. While the food was pretty good, I don’t think that we will be going back for a while though. Simply because they nickel and dime you there and I hate that!

Friday night after dinner at Red Lobster, we went to see Trina. It was a nice stop because we got to talk to Cindy, the lady that owns the place and we got to make suggestions for new items on the menu. I love it when I get input like that! As a matter of fact, on Tuesday at Country Boy, they are making me fettuccini Alfredo with grilled chicken and putting it on the menu. John ( the chef @ Country Boy) makes the best Alfredo sauce I have ever had. I am so looking forward to that!

Yesterday I was feeling under the weather. Nothing really specific, but just achy and icky, so I did not do much. Doug made waffles for the first time with his new waffle maker. They were good. He found this sugar free syrup and it was so good! So we had a pretty good breakfast. Tonight I think that we are having taco salad.

I think that is it for now! Ciao!

  2. It always takes a while for us to get back into the swing of things once school starts up and all. We eventually get there though.... usually by the last week of school. LOL!
